the room was really comfy and had a unique design which i loved. the manager was super nice and lent me a phone charger when i forgot mine. also, breakfast was tasty, especially the fresh kippers! the atmosphere was cozy and made me feel at home. definitely a great place to relax after a long day exploring.
the noise from the main road was quite bothersome during the night. also, the bathroom could have been cleaner, not the best first impression.

Great stay with awesome food!
I had a lovely 2 nights in a single room. Breakfast was fab and the staff were super friendly, especially Carol who sorted us out when we got there. The lamb main was juicy and the chocolate torte with whisky ice cream was a real treat. Just wished the bar was a bit less crowded at times.

The food was absolutely amazing, and the bed was the biggest I'd ever slept in! There were great relaxation options like the lovely lounge area and a cozy fire pit outside. Just a tiny hiccup, the shower was a bit snug, which didn't really affect my stay. I'd definitely recommend this spot for a chill getaway! 😊

The Standard Double Room was pretty cozy for a solo traveler. It had a nice ambiance, but it was a little small. Clean sheets and decent bathroom setup, though. Nothing fancy, but it got the job done for a short stay. I liked the relaxing atmosphere of the inn overall. Just the right amount of charm!

Strongly recommend for a date night
Delicious meal, friendly staff, where the evening meal was exquisite with gin cured sea trout as a starter and sticky toffee pudding for dessert, complemented by a lovely breakfast that fueled my day out exploring the nearby hills.
Limited menu choices on certain days without prior notice.

The Luxury Double Room, surprisingly spacious, featured a large and comfortable bed with tasteful decor. The pub area had a variety of good ales and wines, perfect for unwinding after a long day.
Unloading luggage posed a challenge since the car needs to stop on the busy main road, leading to potential traffic hassles. The room itself had poor plumbing with a blocked drain and subpar bathroom ventilation. Noise from the traffic at night was an unwelcome distraction, and the mixed sizes of the steps in the building made navigation tricky—definitely not ideal for those unsteady on their feet. The dining experience fell flat, with the steak being a disappointing cut and the prices feeling inflated for the quality served.
